So hey, peeps just brought the news to my mom, and she accepted it! She's already very supportive of the community and was glad I decided to be so open with her. Just wanted to let y'all know, 'cause I was pretty worried before but it feels really great to finally take such a heavy burden off my chest, if that makes sense, haha.
