Hello everyone! As you might have noticed I have barely been active at all this year. I honestly thought I'd be active for way longer, but with being a senior in high school and all it's been super busy.
I love you guys, and even if we haven't talked, there are plenty of usernames I will always be familiar with and remember.
Continuing on, even though I love the people, being active on this site has grown more of a hassle than anything else.

So… in my province our 8 classes are split down the middle this year! A couple days ago I switched terms, to which now I have my elective, Media Design. What I didn’t know was that the class was from grades 10-12, so now I’m with gr 12s, woooot
Anywho, we’re using Photoshop for our unit of Pixel art l- and DAMN that program is h a r d. Like it took me forever to find the eraser- plus it’s just nothing like Medi holy crap that thing is complicated. Our assignment was to draw three circles (in 8-bit or 16-bit was our choice) and have them increase in details blah blah blah. We had an hour and a half and the basically the whole class is into the next project which is legit to draw a Pokémon wth, AND IM STILL ON THE SECOND CORCLE BRBRB anywasy that’s not very exciting but WE HAVE TO USE MOUSES KILL ME actually it’s not as bad as I thought it would be but I’m still comprehending it.
AND THEN MY SCIENCE TEACHER- MY LAST BLOCK hes so freakin terrifying he interrogates the kids who come in after the bell to no extent- and he picks on random people. AND during his lectures he’ll randomly YELL words to wake people up-
“So as you all the the FORMULA for distance is speed multiplied by TIME-”
Ohmygod and the man was telling us to come in before first period to get extra help, and he said he ‘might even smile’- and gave us the smallest and first smile he’s given us. I CANT TELL IF HES JOKING HOLY CRAP. Nobody laughed anyways, hes downright terrifying.

Anatomy tips from ours truly

Heyo-

I’m not a professional or anything but I've noticed some people have trouble with anatomy and I've compiled a list of tips that helped me and that I've noticed :)) again- I'm not a professional so any of these could be wrong. I hope this helps those if u who struggle:0

- shoulders are a big part. If you make them too wide or high up the character looks tense and it’s a mistake a lot of people make. You can look at references that show how the shoulders are positioned! I find the slouchier the better

-hands go down to mid thigh. It’s just good to keep in mind because when arms look too short it can mess things up.

-try drawing a V shape where the pelvis is. It can show u where to put the legs :0

-hIpS. Hips go further out with females, which I find is easier from there to draw legs for them then males. (But males still have hips!)

-If u draw each section of a limb separately, you can see where the elbow/knee will be. Those junction points are usually higher up than people think I believe.

-make sure to distinguish the thigh from the calf. Some people draw just straight lines for legs and it can make it look stiff. 

-Hands are as big as your face, (almost) meaning that usually hands are bigger than u think. Making hands too small can mess up the drawing a bit

-A random ear fact that I didn't know until grade 9 art class ohmygod- ears go from the bottom of ur nose to mid eye

-The top half of your torso is usually wider than the lower half. At least with more slim figures. I've noticed with masculine bodies, usually people will just have a very straight body. Masculine bodies still have a chest! If u wanna make them kinda lean, drawing kinda a triangle for their chest helps. The upper torso widens for the broad shoulders.

-wrists usually thin out near the ends! Distincting the forearm from the hand by thinning out the wrist can help the character's hands look more bEnDy

That's all the tips I can think of! I hope this helps people, and I hope this also shows how I draw my anatomy :]

Writing practice/sample


yeah so this is just kinda practice. I might post more of my writing if u guys like it. Probably just more about these two OCs, Lars and Harlow. I've made like 10 AUs for them its insane. The actual canon book that I'm writing is like 40k rn lol and i'm not even done it. anyways u might see more of them later on :]]]



White sugar sand stretched out, along the expanse of the hidden location. The beach felt the full impact of the crystal waves daily, the area shaded by the towering quartz-like cliff edge and the viridian trees.

The main trail by itself was quite remote, so having a short path that led off was sketchy enough.

Apparently not enough for the two boys, sitting cross legged on the sand. The sun dripped down onto the unforgiving sea, its tangerine warmth seeping into it like oil. The sky had warmed to a coral shade of pink, the clouds absorbing the warmth as they sat motionless in the falling sky.

“It's like the first time we came here.” The tawny haired boy murmured as to not disrupt the serenity, leaning into his partner’s figure. 

The brunette next to the former hummed in acknowledgement, shifting so he could rub the small of the other’s back.

“So you admit it was a good idea to stray from the trail?” He smirked, coaxing the other to a groan of disapproval, “No Lars, that’s not what I’m saying. And that was a very stupid decision, either way.” Harlow frowned, though his voice showed no malice.


“How dare you, I’m breaking up with you.” 


“You can’t survive without me- you wouldn’t.” The younger grinned, aware of how correct his statement was.


Lars rolled his eyes, a faint crimson blooming on his face.


“Yeah, I probably couldn’t.”
