Just a tip😊🎀
So i noticed there are some fake accounts going around trying to scam people. This has become very common on a lot of art sites. But the good news, is there's not that many of them, and since this site is really only about 11 years old, theres not that many of us they can take advantage of anyways. As fan artists, i think we can disappoint them and show them there's no place for them here, and send them off elsewhere. First, let's not send any friend requests. Second, let's not accept any friend requests. don't even click deny, just ignore it, u'll just receive more either way u answer. Once your acct is open to messaging, the more likely u r at a risk of getting hacked by these losers. I'm actually glad we can consent to whether we want to open our message box, a lot of art sites don't have this feature. Third, make sure to use the art street logo on ur drawings to scare off these people. If there's a signature, there less likely to steal and repost, because then everyone would know they're thieves anyways. Fourth, be careful and don't follow accts that have either no avatar or nothing in their gallery, theyre almost always bad news. Actually, if u ever bump into one, report to staff and block it. Everyone is much safer that way. I actually think that there should be a rule on art sites that once u open an acct, u have this many days to post a drawing, and if u don't meet the deadline ur acct should be closed. Fifth, if u ever recieve any unusual comments under ur art: fake offers, links, requests for commission, asking for help, or claiming they reported u for something, just report and block that user. The more of those u answer, the more u get. Sixth, if someone's avatar is a stock image (theres one going around with a beach picture, and keeps changing the name), report and block, theyre as fake as they come. I think these are some ways can drive those new bad actors out of this site😊🎀🌸
