There are some serialized writers at Bessatsu Friend such as Hatsuharu-sensei (『お嬢と番犬くん』) and Izumi-sensei (『はたらく細胞フレンド』) who were, long ago, doing illustrations. For those who usually draw illustrations but have an interest in drawing manga, this is for you! Make your debut with Bessatsu Friend!

- Entry Format
- ・JPG, PNG, MDP (Must be under 30MB in filesize) ・Illustrator free to choose size ※Please note that submissions being selected as first prize will be published on the magazine. Winners should handout the file in designated formats and resolutions.
- Please Note
- ・Must be an original work with the copyright held by the applicant. ・Works which have been submitted on other media are also accepted. （Commercial magazine/ web publication work is prohibited, strictly limited to unpublished works） ・Anyone can enter the contest, regardless of whether they are a pro or just draw as a hobby. ・We even welcome works from overseas so long as they are works that are geared towards this contest. ・Plagiarism, or any double (duplicate) works will not be accepted.
- How to Enter
- 1. Register as a user on ART street. 2. Click Creators submit here at the top of the ART street website. 3. Click Submit on the ART street Creators page. 4. Select the Illustration tab and then upload your file as a MDP, JPG or PNG. 5. Enter the title and add the shoujo_illustration tag. 6. Click Submit & Publish.
- Prize Money / Benefits
- ・First Prize: 50,000 JPY, a promise of publication in a magazine and an assigned editor. ・Honorable Mention: 10,000 JPY ※ All works receiving an award will also receive comments from the editing teams!
- How to Claim the Prize
- The prize money will be sent to the entrant's MediBang account using their PayPal, or wired to their bank account (the winner will accept the responsibility of any associated wiring fees).

Please note that submitted works cannot be edited or deleted after the entry period is over, however tags (not including the contest tag) can still be added.
