Under Mintöräth's leadership, the Guatii threw down the elven oppressors who forced isolation upon them. For the next 600 years, Mintöräth would be forced to consistently repel attacks from the human nomads of Hexeön, who replaced those elves, due to peaceful and political relations between the two. Mintöräth was eventually, after 60 years of pushing against Hexeön's attacks, relented and returned his troops to the Stonelands. He would spend almost the entire rest of his life conducting raids on the Hexeön lands blocking his peoples escape from the land that had become their prison. Finally with help from an exiled baron, who had friends of great influence with the most powerful human kingdom, Mintöräth was able to secure a treaty with humanity, that so long as he aided them in times of need, the Guatii could roam free. That promise never once failed to be kept, even when Mintöräth passed the leadership of the Stonelands to another.
