I have never been to Japan, but I have always been fascinated by Japanese culture from a very young age, and Kyoto being the cultural heart of the country, going to Kyoto, seeing and experiencing it with my own eyes and heart is life a dream come true to me. Among the multitude of things about Japanese culture, and tradition which amuse me, one of the most important ones would be the life of Geishas and their heritage, how they dress to their elegant yet strict mannerisms, to being a true Connoisseur of every form of Art. And among the places in Kyoto, the place I connect to the most and want to visit the most would be Byodo-In, the Buddhist Temple in Uji city, a place which looks so serene, with lots of trees and cherry blossoms, with the vast sky beyond and the still clear waters infront of the Phoenix Hall, a structure so elegant yet so complex. Hence, I portrayed how I see Byodo-in, in the canvas of my heart, along with two geishas infront, in classical Japanese ukiyo-e style.
