The mother of Elyot Gavrielle and eldermother to Miriam. A traditonal Kolonian woman with a kind heart. She had her apprehension concerning her sons courtship of Cachusa Gavrielle, but understood the importance of the union to her husband and her own family's loyalist ties to the Lithavian crown.
There is familiarity between Otilia and her sons family is warm, yet not as close due to the responsibilities to her household and encourages this in Cachusa. Despite this, Ovilia was taken with Miriam's beauty and lavishes her whenever visits occur or sent on occasions.
