Tian Lo - Mai | 天羅 - 真宵

I really wanted to combine two spirits into one being - Tian Lo and Mai. And that's why:
Mai (真宵) is a snail. One of the representatives of the Japanese mermaids, luring people into the dead waters. One of its variations is Sadzae-oni (栄螺鬼).
Lady Tian Lo (田螺姑娘) is the spirit of the snail, the patroness of sailors. Before setting sail, the sailors prayed to Mrs. Tian Luo that she would protect them from storms and adversity, and help them return home safe and sound.
Although these spirits are snails by nature, they are essentially completely different. One is evil, the other is good. If we consider Maya as a wandering spirit, then we get looping. Sailors, having met Maya, will never find their way to their destination again. At the same time, having met Tian Luo, they will be saved from all the storms, and she will help them find the right road.
In this case, the sailors fall into a vicious circle - after all, Mai and Tian Lo are the same spirit...
