In 2050 in Paris, the crime rate is rising and the police force is unable to control the situation. Haï, private detective, is broke and doesn't know what to do in his life, but his daily life is going to be disrupted when he gets killed and resurrected. He is told he is the first subject of a machine, the "Second Chance Machine" which resurrects a murder victim, so they can, in their turn, kill their aggressor in 24 hours.
