The art has some real good potential

ye ye I get that. I'm not a fan of stories moving fast though. Shonen manga tends to have very fast and "to the point" first chapters, because they're scared to have their series cancelled and axed by the higher ups. They're scared to lose their reader base so they do everything in their power to try and keep them. I don't have to worry about that, so I decided to just take my time with it. Beginning shows that this is an action series at the end of the day, even though we're about to spend the rest of the chapters following people doing people stuff. I'm also trying to set up characters, and world before I get to plot. it'd def not for everyone, but I had made a webtoon before this one, and that was my main complain with it. I hated that I didn't take my time with introducing elements. Just learning from my mistakes here. Akane is a weird "Are you gonna commit and take your time?" kind of story...and if so, it'll be worth it. I promise :)

Interesting first chapter. The art is quite solid, especially during the fight scene. you've got great paneling. it flows nicely for most of the time, even though sometimes it does feel a bit wonky to read and see where your eye is supposed to travel, but it doesn't ruin the overall experience. You set up the world and character pretty well. It def feels like a shonen jump manga. The pacing as well is very shonen jump. In the sense that it's fast. not too fast though, but it doesn't let us much time to sit with things, but that's more of a personal problem since I just get overwhelmed easily. For it's first chapter. it's very solid. 8/10 basing it off first chapter. This could also very much work as a one shot.
