In a village hidden away in the mountains a terrible incident occurs, however the one to stop it is far from appreciated by the villagers. Cast away by the village, the boy is taken in by a temple in the capital. The constant breaking of rules troubles the other monks and they put more surveillance on the boy. At the festival the boy acquires an oni mask that he can use to get back at the monks for their constant eyes on him. However the boy’s attempts at scaring the monks takes an unexpected turn.

While napping on a large rock, Shuten-Dōji is suddenly awoken by a little boy who claims that the rock belongs to him. This marks the start of their friendship. Their friendship is cut short when Shuten-Dōji finds a large crowd outside of the boy’s house. The crowd claims that the boy and his family have been infected and no one dares to go in and check on them. Shuten-Dōji musters up his courage and walks in, only to find Shun and his mother dead surrounded by some strange creatures. Will Shuten-Dōji be able to avenge Shun and his mother and defeat the creature who killed them or will the danger he faces be too great?

Yurie is an oni working under cover at a convenience store while simultaneously trying to repay her debt to the local god. Early on in her life, Yurie learned exactly why long life creatures should not befriend humans and even 200 years after her human friends death, Yurie has still not made an attempt to make any new ones. Burdened by the pain of the past, will Yurie ever be able to move on and make new friends or will the shackles of loss in her past hold her too tightly?
