I understand where you come from talking about the exposition, but if you got to read the author's notes, you would see that this is a spin-off of an already existing series. About the characters' introduction I don't know what to say, and the cheesy one-liners, well, if it's not your cup of tea, then It's just not your cup of tea. Nonetheless, we appreciate the feedback and take these notes going into chapter 2. 🙂
