I can't speak for my artist, Dkadka, but I learned to write manga after spending many years in my teens writing short stories and novels that I later burned (lol). It was around two years ago when I was interested in the idea of actually making a manga, and I had a friend who taught me scriptwriting and such- which was easier than it would've been due to the fact that I had quite a bit of experience with photography beforehand. I ran out of room in the last comment, but I wanted to say: thank you for reading, and I appreciate the critique. I'm going to improve with the next chapter.

This is a fair critique, though the racism allegory with Abnormals is more of an underlying theme instead of being the main focus- of course, it's heavily prevalent due to the nature of Akakabe's society, but the story in its entirety is more or less about a woman's struggle to find her place, grow into her own in a world that's absurd and doesn't accept her. Outside of that, I do agree, it was rushed because there were a lot of concepts I had to introduce in this chapter as a basic requirement (the later chapters necessitate this), I feel like another 10 or so pages would have assisted the pacing, but due to a myriad of production issues that just wasn't viable. I had to cut a lot of quieter, slower paced moments due to that. I'm currently scripting the second chapter, and it's a lot more focused I would say, of course there are concepts introduced and there's information given but the way that it's handled is a lot less pressured and so it breathes a bit better, I think.
