This story takes place in a world in ruins after a 10-year-long Second World War that divided the world into isolated capitals. The war brought forth a new breed of humans known as "the Altered" – genetic changes that spanned generations. The minority consists of the non-altered, and Matt is one of them who will be introduced to this world from a different perspective.
