The chosen people tried to save what was left after the extinction of the Nemanjić lineage. The main character of the story is a boy Novak who lives with his family in a small mountain village. Novak is hardworking and works so that he and his family can survive. There are many friends in the village, the main ones being Nikodija and Kirik. Novak has feelings for Nikodija, he is just afraid to admit it to her, while Kirik is his best friend with whom he trains. One day, their fate takes a completely different course compared to their previous life. Novak must make the right decisions to save the ones he loves. The story includes a lot of historical characters who enter Novak's life.
