Tenrouji Gin lead a realatively " normal " life. That changed when Mashiro Hana, a meek girl who doesn't speak but instead uses a notebook to talk, transferes into his class not too long after the school year commences. Even as the days pass much of Hana's story remains unknown, but he and his friends will soon make the painful discovery that there is much more to this shy little girl's story.
