In the middle of a dangerous race on the sea, in which the competitors run at the height of the ship's masts, Val experiences a very inappropriate and terrible confrontation with his fears.

He, tired of not fitting in anywhere, has decided to run away from town to never return. However, he meets an eccentric character: a talking capybara! This creature invites him to discover Carnival, a peculiar traveling festival that is visiting the town for the first time today, and is organizing the announced race on the ropes, in which Val must make a decision that will change his life completely.

Thus, Val will strive to become an Acrobat, a prestigious title exclusive to Carnival members. On this journey, Val will learn the strange rules of the outside world and face all kinds of challenges, dangers and mysteries. He will meet invaluable friends, bitter rivals and other threatening and vicious personalities from Carnival.
