Patricia-Marie is a rude young girl with the drive to right wrongs, stop crime, and protect the weak. With the elusive vigilante The Bridgeport Bruiser as her role model, if Patty comes across trouble, she doesn’t ignore it, she takes action! She doesn’t play the bystander! Somebody’s getting punched in the face!

Her “glowing” personality doesn’t get her many friends, but she does have her neighbor, the polite newsboy, Calloway. And his cousin has been kidnapped!

The cops are of no use, but Patty’s idol appears to their aid! The Bruiser recognizes their “talents,” and the two kids are offered a chance to take on a big step up from lowly street bullies and thieves: Chicago mobsters!
