Arata Higashimura lives his simple but mundane life lacking direction and purpose aside from maintaining his critical and social faculties. However, one day Arata awakens in himself the power to consciously influence the Dream Dimension, a higher dimension where all human subconscious exists. Arata is recruited into the Dream Protection Agency, an organization created to maintain the integrity of the Dream Dimension. It is here that Arata begins to create a purpose for himself in this fantastical world where he must answer questions about power and its use over that of the human condition.
