I struggle with hands myself, and what I do is practice with reference images and find the base shapes (of a human hand). When I need specific poses, I take pictures of my own hand. If you draw in a more cartoon-ish style, you can change some of the base shapes so that they fit your style more. This probably sounds really confusing, so I'm sorry about that. I hope this helps.
