Social Media
I do this weird thing where I stack up on YouTube videos using JDownloader and then avoid the platform entirely. I think I just like avoiding the temptation of mindlessly scrolling or giving in to the auto-play algorithm, so this is a nice compromise.
Up until recently I was using Insta quite a lot, but I realized I was just hoping to be seen by someone (that I was into) with every story I posted. Quite pointless, so I decided to stop posting. I wasn't even using it that much, since these days it's just TikTok 2.0 (I originally liked it because of its picture-centric nature), but strangely enough, my mood has improved dramatically.
I think I just really like picture-centric sites, or those with limited video capabilities, such as Pixiv with Ugoira.
Either way, the term 'social media' is so vague it could literally be 'the internet' at this point, so I think the main take away for me is that I feel happier just being in art circles and art-focused communities.
It's fantastic seeing ARTStreet and Cara grow :)
