When I was in elementary school my Nana(grandma) had a dog named Jack, he was a brown and white wiener dog and I had known him since I was born(or at least since I had the ability to speak). A few years ago he got hurt in his lower area and he had trouble walking controlling how he did his business and would loose control of his bladder if he got too excited. One day me and my siblings got to my Nana’s house and we started watching some tv when I realized that Jack wasn’t there. Later when my mom came to pick us up my Nana told us that she had put Jack down because his problems were only getting worse. I was with the 5th grade and didn’t know what she meant, until a couple weeks later I found out and I realized that my best dog friend wasn’t going to come back. I really miss him, I wish that I spent more time trying to play with him instead of paying attention to the other dog my Nana had at her house, I really wish I could just hear him barking at my dad again. It’s been about two or three years since he’s left and I still miss him. His favorite game was tug of war.

I'm so sorry that happened, and I know how you feel. It's hard to deal with the death of pets, especially since to a lot if people their super close. It sucks to lose one and regret all the times you could've spent time with them, but didn't, and can't take back the lost time. And it hurts to see all the places they should've been, but will never be or do again. And I know the hurt never really fully heals, just starts there quietly deep within, and that no sorrys could help But I can give you encouragement And I never mind talking Also, I really like giving sad frens hugs, so even if we can't hug irl, I will give you a virtual hug, and hope that you feel a bit happier
