Yeah...... I hate that too I'm the same way though I have long ass hair and I've grown a bit older now (I'm 13) so one look at me and you can tell..... That I'm a female, but back then I use to be afraid because some kids thought I was a boy with really long hair because I was tall as hell and I have a relatively low voice and because I'm not very girly, I'm definitely a tomboy and I hate girly cloths (with the exception of gothic dresses), people also thought I was male online because idk.... I actually have no idea some people just assume I am (like on animal jam, people assumed I was male because my animal didn't have eyelashes) people are weird
