  • > Muna Sketches Thank you! I’ll definitely try laying down the values first and adding some perspective guidelines👍

  • You need perspective.. especially for large houses. A simple 2-point perspective will do, and maybe block everything out in values instead of going straight into sketching, and then when you know where things will go, sketch on top of the simple blockouts you've done. For colouring and shading, look at lots of references! References are needed for big environments.

Story time/Lesson of the Day

I was looking at Pokémon OCs on UnVale a month or two ago, and I found a cool looking character (I think they were a self insert or persona). The creator shipped this character with Arven (a canon character from Pokémon Scarlet), and since I also have an OC I ship with Arven (Donut), I commented something along the lines of “love the design of this character! I also have an OC shipped with Arven so I guess our characters are rivals ha ha.” Based on how they reacted, maybe I should have left the second part out, but I just thought we were having fun and being silly!

Anyway, I didn’t get a reply for a while, so until today I thought they’d just ignored the comment. But when I opened unvale today… I found a comment from the creator of the OC calling me a freak and calling Donut “hideous.”

So, it just made me want to say that although I think it’s fine for people to selfship, and OCxCanon stuff if awesome, AT THE END OF THE DAY IT’S JUST FOR FUNZIES. There is no need to get jealous of other creators who ship OCs with a character, and DO NOT send rude messages.

Stay safe out there y’all, the internet is a crazy place.❤️
