How I figured out I was Demisexual

Okay, for those who don’t know what Demisexual means (which I don’t blame you) it basically means you don’t have a sexual attraction to people you don’t know personally. For the longest time, I’ve always thought that I could’ve been asexual, which means you have no sexual feeling at all. It always made my parents think because whenever there was a cute male model on T.V, my sisters would squeal while I would simply say “oh okay”. For a time being, they thought I was gay, and to be honest, so did I. But now I realize, with my boyfriend, that I am neither gay nor asexual. But before I knew was Demisexual meant or even WAS, I felt lost. I thought I was the only one going through this. And, of course, it’s not something awful to go though like the backlash from homophobics or nonbelievers, but still, I was lost. It wasn’t until about 8 months ago my boyfriend showed me the definition. And I finally understood.

SO ALL OF YOU GOTTA KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE! YOU JUST GOTTA KEEP SEARCHING AND YOULL FIND THE ANSWER SOONER THAT LATER

Okay so I was doodling in class today and the guy sitting next to me leans over to see what I was doing. At the time, I was drawing a black girl with this really cute outfit on and so when he asked to see it, I proudly slided it to him.

Him:...
Me: “What’s up? I take constructive criticism anyday, so you won’t hurt my feelings.”
Him: “Well... your drawings kinda racist.”
Me: “...W-What? How?”
Him:”you drew her with an Afro. Not all Black people have Afros.”
Me: “Yeah, I know that, but my drawing just has one.”
Him: “It’s still pretty racist though.”
