Yet even 20 years later, magedom has not forgotten its humiliation at the hands of non-mages, ever longing for a chance to return things to how they used to be.
The prosperous city-state of Yggdrasia, surrounding the World Tree of Yggdrasil, has luckily been spared by much of this chaos. The World Trees are seen as the mythological protectors of Eden, allowing them and the people living with them to stay neutral in almost any conflict.
