The story starts with skateboarder Saki Endo, 24. She has lived all her life in a small town in north eastern Japan on the Sanriku Coast. A talented skater and designer, she hasn't taken her chances in life, held back by the memory of the death of her sister at the age of 5 in a tragic accident. On March 11th, tragedy strikes when Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 strikes.
The ensuing tsunami destroys her hometown. On exploring a local junior high school, an air conditioning unit falls from the ceiling on to her, sending her spiraling towards death. Begging an apparent voice for one last chance in life, her wish is granted and she finds herself in Tokyo, 1988. Amnesiac, she knows who she is but little of her past.
There she meets two other social misfits, Hisao a lonely Tokyo cop, and Kaito a University student struggling to find his own identity under pressure from family.
The question is, will Saki live and return to 2011?
