The word mano is Spanish for hand while the word po is often used in Filipino culture and language at the end of each sentence as a sign of respect when addressing someone older. Mano is one of the tradition in the Philippines. Mano serves as a respect for the elders. It is done by putting the back of their right hand on your forehead. This tells them that you respect them as your elder. This is also a way of requesting a blessing from the elder.Typically someone may mano to their older relatives upon entry into their home or upon seeing them. Can be your mother, father, grandma, grandpa,auntie and uncle.
