Similar to the Still Life #1 here's an illustration I did using oil pastels, it's fun using them even if they do get messy.
For this practice I used of reference nature, it's supposed to be covered on trees thus why there are random patches of light in the dry grass, hopefully that looks a-OK. The real challenge was getting right the textures of the bamboo behind while keeping a similar-ish colour scheme, as well as representing that the leaves from the plant in the middle.
