She’s the maternal aunt of Guildmistress Angel Goldenheart, who retired following a fatal kraken attack in which she lost both of her hind legs, or more accurately, a good part of each of her hind legs. Even before her handicap-induced retirement, Mildred had never shown any interest in settling down to start a family or finding the creature of her dreams, as her top priority was maintaining control and stability over the guild. But when her sister, Philomena, tragically died along with her husband, Hansel, Mildred had to deal with the burden of balancing her role as guildmistress and her role as a mother figure to her niece and nephew, Angel and Archie. Despite her snarky, aloof nature, she proved to be a decent mentor to Angel, and even as a retiree, she continues to play her role in helping her family strengthen their legacy through the guild, just like many of her ancestors before her.
