Like, holy shit- I didn’t expect to finish this so quickly but my arms- Anyways, This pice takes place just after Oort and Harry find Naeva- a mysterious creature who turned up in their backyard. They find her sitting on the porch just in front of the door. Oort can tell that Naeva is harmless the moment they meet- unlike grumpy and very skeptical Harry who doesn’t trust her as easily as his companion. They both discuss quietly for a moment before deciding to ask Naeva who she is and where she’s from. They quickly learn that she doesn’t talk and simply makes a quiet chirp but it’s easy to see that she’s upset. Against his better judgement, Harry decides that they should take her in seeing as she’s so small and hurt. Their owners are thrilled as Harry and Oort the bring Naeva inside. As it happens, they stay up till well past midnight taking care of the newcomer. Naeva, after being up for so long, finally goes to sleep with her two new guardians protecting her.
