Yves Mathieu East has been an inspiration to a lot of people in so many ways that one can't imagine. I can't begin to say how much he has helped a lot when it comes to mental health issues and creating awareness to the community. The first time I came across a picture of Yves, I knew there was a story behind this person and then I went online, did a little stalking and came across one or two of his interviews. Just like anybody else, he has been through a lot.
The reason why I did a drawing of him is because, he is a survivor and he is still surviving which I think we all need to be inspired by. I hope he sees this work as a thank you and as motivation for him to keep doing what he does. 😅Because I don't think he has any idea how much and how many people he is reaching and helping mentally, both far and near.
