You are restricted
They shame you
When you try to differ
And immobilize you
When you try to soar
When you are finally free
Of responsibility
They throw more and more
Down your road
They say they love you
They say they appreciate you
But do they really?
If they don’t let you flee?
They say you should stay
But what if I don’t want it that way?
If I cut off these chains
And throw off the reigns,
Or chase the light
That’s oh so bright,
Will I finally be free?
Will I be able to run away and flee?
If I die,
Will I be able to fly?
If I don’t wanna stay
Can I run away?
