I looked at a lot of clothing. A loooooooot of clothing. I started with an extremely loose sketch and went straight to inking. Then I used Ibis Paint X to change the real-life background into a manga style. I then added a text bubble. I used shape language to my advantage. The boy needed to look kinda edgy. The girl looks friendly.
Boy: Short and sharp
Girl: Curved and long.
I drew male character 2 times figuring out male anatomy.
