James Ironwood was the General of the Atlas Military. He became a main Antagonist in Volumes 7 & 8 of RWBY. He was killed by Winter Schnee after she had received the powers of The Winter Maiden.
The General was half human, half metal, after losing a good portion of his body to injuries sustained in an unknown battle.
