Asuka and Rei are known to be traumatized and troubled victims.
Rei lacks human emotions not understanding what love and hate is. She herself never received love or care and was raised as a tool.
Asuka lost her mom from a horrifying incident and was abandoned by her father after having an affair with another woman making her an orphan.
Naruto having a rough childhood himself can really empathize with Rei and Asuka's troubled past. As he is the type of character that can understand other peoples' feelings, Naruto is also someone that is going to put in a lot of effort of giving the love, care, and attention that Rei and Asuka never had.
As for Mari, she is the type to be really interested and infatuated with Naruto based on his strong sense of smell and presence alone.
