Alex was born with both male and female parts. As a result, they got teased and picked on through most of their life. Alex likes to wear long, lumpy sweaters to hide their body, because they are insecure about it. When they met Nova, their world changed, for the better. Nova accepts Alex for who they are, and doesn't judge. That's why Alex loves and appreciates the heck out of Nova.
