I have a lot unused rough draft for a manga audition in my storage. I would like to finish most of them but whenever I decide to put it into work, I immediately felt pressure and back off really quick before finding myself procrastinating. I’ve come to realize that my perfectionism has been holding me back. My drawing skill is not up to par with what I imagine in my head. It is difficult to be consistent with what you are doing when you are coming from a place of self-doubt, anxiety and worry about failure.
As for my new challenge, I would like to lower my expectations of myself and my work as well as improving my drawing skill so I can finally join the audition again. 😊
