This is a character I've been working on. Their nickname is Nicky, and they're a bug FANATIC- above all, they love stickbugs (which they refer to as tiny walking trees) and every beetle known to mankind, but they love all bugs. And spiders. And... well, ya get it.
You might notice that specific parts are brighter instead of darker. Nicky has a light for a face/eye, the spots on their tail are also lights, and the very back of their head is- wow, you probably guessed it- a light. It's kinda like how, during the daytime, you can't really see the red lights of the car in front of you when the driver for said car hits the brakes- once it becomes nighttime, you can see the lights more clearly and intensely.
Derlont is currently teaching Nicky Morse code so they'll have some way of communicating with others. Even if people don't really know Morse.
