A quick little concept art for a fantasy species I have. Nothing is really set in stone yet, I’m still in the process of just trying to organize my thoughts, but they’re these lil stoat-lookin guys who have the ability to control mushrooms.
They do this by using those glowing antennas/tails to send out impulses that tell the fungi what to do, kind of like a very complicated programming language.
They use this ability to make pretty much everything, food, architecture, and they have their version of the internet using the mycelium. However, they haven’t figured out a way to get it to work long distance so it’s just the one island. It’s still very impressive for their world though, as this fantasy world isn’t as technologically advanced.
