「ああ、自分には才能がないなぁ」
絵や漫画を描いたりする時に、よく思うことです。自分が「天才」だったらどんなにいいだろうと憧れます。芸術の神に愛されているとしか思えない、優れた作品に接すると、そこに努力では及ばない才能の差に圧倒されることもあります。でもきっと「天才」も努力しているんでしょうね。私のような凡人ですら、より良いものを作ろうと努力しているのですから。
今回の絵は音楽の天才モーツァルトとその才能に嫉妬するサリエリという作曲家を描いた映画「アマデウス」のオマージュです。1984年というやや古い作品ですが、芸術や音楽に興味があればご覧になって下さい。面白いですよ。
"Oh, I don't have any talent."
I often think about it when I draw pictures and comics. I long to know how good it would be if I were a "genius". When you come into contact with an excellent work that you can only think of being loved by the god of art, you may be overwhelmed by the difference in talent that you can't reach with effort. But I'm sure the "genius" is also working hard. Even ordinary people like me are trying to make better things.
This painting is a tribute to the movie "Amadeus" depicting the music genius Mozart and his composer named Salieri, who is jealous of his talent. It's a somewhat old work called 1984, but if you are interested in art and music, please watch it.
