Leon was the guardian lion of Cat's Shrine, where cats, from the normal creatures to the mythical bakeneko and nekomata, made their home, watched over by a feline deity. Their lives were content, but when humans stopped coming to the shrine, it was Leon's duty to renew the faith of gods. So wielding his mighty pen, he set out with a fond farewell from the shrine's residents.
