The misadventure of a European hunter in the Elephant Land. This cartoon was born of a false memory. I have a old Walter Foster's book, "Modern Cartoon". In this book there is a elephant drawn by late Burr Shafer, a cartoonist who contributed many times for "New Yorker" magazine. For some reason, the elephant Shafer drew for a cartoon was Babar in my memories. Cause this, I drew Babar and his children with heads different from Jean de Brunhoff's books. Digital inking on traditional pencils.
