She Was Right-brained, He Was Left-Brained

Andy was the most left-brained person I'd ever met. He could do any math he needed to in his head, figure out how much energy he needed to throw things perfectly, calculate a bill split among several people, but holy shit. Art? He didn't get it.
“It's ok, if you don't understand this sort of stuff.”
“My mom did,” he said. Ah, that was why it was important to him.
But she was right-brained, she loved art in all mediums, while Andy struggled to see the appeal. Some key psychological things were the same between them, being clinically depressed, bisexual, and a few attachment problems, but on the surface they were incredibly different people.
“Well, you're Andy, not Inés,” I told him. “And Andy would rather look at circuit boards than whatever this picture is.”
He laughed.
(This one-shot is actually a bit longer to post on insta so I'm just putting out its main points.)
