This was me almost two years ago.
While I was sleeping our cat scratched my face
If I was in a slightly different position I probably would only now have one good eye
During that time I was very self conscious about my face and hid it behind my fringe
Usually the first thing people used to ask me was: What happened to your face?
I still have the scars today
