There is little need for fairytales in these lands, world. They are the truths parents and elders warned against as allegory as lessons. They are warning and precautions of what can haunt and hunt them when the abyss grows or it's storms sweep the land. One of the greatest tales is that of the unicorn, a massive abyssal abomination that appears and disappears as soon as sighted. It stalks wide scathes of land, destroying without regard through it's steps or the calamities that come with it's presence passing over. The very sight can drive one to take their life or lose all sense of reason.
Once has one lived to hear it speak and the man was able to communicate this before tearing out his tongue, eyes and ears.
