Nibonea is Arrowyn’s spirited sidekick and the series mascot for Wonder Island: Hero of Brightwater, the manga series created by Liam Gray. Nibonea is a juvenile burst dragon that escaped from Troll Slavers to terrorize the inhabitants of Brightwater.
Nibonea first appeared as an antagonist in Wonder Island: Hero of Brightwater, Chapter #1: Shine-Shine Eternal – The Indominable Spirit of Youth! published by Conquest Comics in 2021 but was brought to heel by Arrowyn with the assistance of Hero Water in Chapter #2: Let me Help – The Dragon That Fell from the Sky.
Nibonea is a swift and deadly predator with an adhesive bubble-breathe. If one of these bubbles makes contact with a target, they are trapped within; once so contained he can burst the bubble with the club-like spines on his tail and send them flying!
