Bactericide is a substance which kills bacteria.
UV light has been used for decades as a natural disinfectant. It’s used to clean drinking water as well as in some environments, like hospitals and medical facilities, to naturally eradicate organisms that could be potentially harmful. The fact that sunlight was similarly effective as UV light was a surprise to the authors. That’s in part because most window glass filters out UV light, the element of sunlight that has some known beneficial, antibacterial effect.
The sun emits three types of UV-light;
- UVA that makes up the majority of sunlight.
- UVB that is often credited with causing sunburn and skin cancer.
- UVC that is even more harmful but is largely blocked by the ozone layer.
Making UVC-light form the sun as a disinfection is an effective tool in the fight against coronavirus.
The colors used is gradient of yellow to represent as a sun and the spiral shape to resemble the progression of pandemic to become more better.
