I based these characters off of a lot of things, video games, and other artwork.
After watching some penumbra videos on youtube, i thought about editing one of my already existing characters to have similar problems and behavior, this was the result. However after some time, im reconsidering the development of these characters.
The story behind this is was that Song (front) was venturing into a cave for whatever reason but fell off of an old ladder like how Philip did in Penumbra. Then Song got possessed by a nightmare who cant materialize properly and needed a host to do so, and it or he mocked her race saying that their life essence; soul was inefficent, as the nightmares feed off of it.
