This is an oil painting on canvas inspired by the scenery in Sakura, Japan. I was aiming for a calm and serene emotion through the use of pastel and neutral colors in the composition. The inclusion of the cherry blossom tree in the foreground, in addition to the protruding branches leads the eye towards the middle of the landscape, followed by the small village in the background.
